This blog is part of my PhD research into impact evaluations in the international development sector. I am looking at different accounts of human practice, and how lots of activities by lots of stakeholders, technologies and techniques are cooked up together in development work. What are the results of this mess? Are impacts clear and scientific? Are they more nuanced, more unstable? Or do they depend on where you sit in the network of practices?
